Our choice of Hobgood Construction was based on several things. The quality of Wilbur’s word and work was quickly obvious to us through meeting with him and seeing many projects. One time we even ran into him on one of his job sites when he was making his daily rounds. We spoke to several people for whom Wilbur has built homes, and learned that he went on to build multiple homes for many of his clients. Many of the vendors and sub-contractors he used have also selected him to build their own homes. Our experience with Hobgood Construction has been exceptional. We hired Hobgood Construction to renovate and expand a two-story, four unit condominium building. The plan included the expansion of the building on three of its four sides, the addition of bedrooms and bathrooms to each of the individual units and the construction of a large back porch with complex structural requirements. Planning and sequencing of the project was critical because we had a 6 month summer building window and our schedule was further impacted by a hurricane. Our project was complicated, we had a short time frame and we had unexpected additional time and weather constraints. Through all of this, the Hobgood team displayed exceptional professionalism and, through perseverance and teamwork, they delivered a high quality result. The entire Hobgood team was committed to the success of our project and their willingness to go “above and beyond” to get the job done, including dealing with project and schedule changes and often working late into the night, was outstanding. We appreciate the commitment of Eddie and the team at Hobgood to the success of our project and we would happily share our story with anyone interested in doing future business with the Hobgood family!
