MEET OUR TEAM
Wilbur Hobgood has served as President of Hobgood Construction since its incorporation in 1990. His projects have earned 16 Gold Coast Builders Association PRISM Awards for excellence in construction. As the qualifier for the company, Wilbur has successfully completed over 200 new construction projects and has an equally impressive remodeling resume, with over 2,000,000 square feet of construction expertise. His daily role is to oversee all internal and external Hobgood Construction operations, and can be seen daily on all job sites with his hands-on approach to continuously improving our rigorous quality control.
Since joining his father in 2005 as a Superintendent, David Hobgood has moved into the role of Executive Management and General Superintendent. As a University of Florida graduate, and State Certified General Contractor, David brings a forward thinking approach and much of the input into refining the well-established internal processes and procedures. David’s credentials also include Martin County Stormwater Management Inspector, as well as Lead Safe Renovator Certifications. David’s role consists of working in tandem with other field Superintendents, and ensuring that all field operations are conducted according to the Hobgood Construction industry leading standards. His strengths lie in his steadfast commitment to continue the legacy of excellence set forth by his father, and to continually improve the Hobgood brand, carving a niche as one of the premier custom home builders in the Palm Beaches.
The Hobgood Construction team was further expanded in 2012, welcoming Wilbur’s Son-in-Law, Eddie Naugle. A scholarship athlete and graduate of the College of Charleston, Eddie’s resume includes certifications as a South Carolina General Contractor License Qualifier, NAHB Certified Green Professional, LEED Green Associate, U.S. Green Building Council Member, Certified Erosion Prevention & Sediment Control Inspector, OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety and Health Training, and Basic First Aid and CPR. His experience spans the Residential, Commercial and Multi-family construction markets, and has successfully completed over 1,000,0000 square feet of construction. Eddie’s role consists leading the estimating and pre-construction efforts to make sure that job procurement is done expeditiously and managing projects to ensure completion on time and within budget. He is also responsible for the value engineering efforts and ensuring that our clients receive the maximum return for their investment. His strengths lie in his relationship building and client service centered attitude and ability to work with Owners to transform their visions into reality.
